Governor Cooper visits Perquimans County

On August 10, 2023, Governor Roy Cooper visited Perquimans County to emphasize the importance of child care funding. Mayor Earnell Brown, Mayor ProTem Ashley Hodges and Councilwoman Sandra Anderson were on hand to greet him.

Open Door Food Pantry Jail-a-thon

Mayor Pro Tem Ashley Hodges took his turn at being locked up on Friday, May 26, 2023 and solicited bail money from his friends and family to help raise funds to support the Perquimans Open Door Food Pantry Building Fund and to fight food insecurity.  It was all good fun and for a very worthy cause.

Strolling Friday Night/Shopping Saturday Morning

The weather may be uncertain about what it wants to do, but we are sure that it is time to start strolling (Friday, June 9th 5:30 – 7:30pm) and shopping (Saturday Morning Live, June 10th 9am -1pm).
