Accounting Specialist
Salary Range: $45,095.46 - $67,643.19
The Town of Hertford is seeking a detail-oriented individual to serve as a full time Accounting Specialist. Responsibilities include but are not limited to processing accounts payable and checks for paying bills and invoices, enters approved invoices into the database; audits invoices for appropriate budget codes; generates and distributes checks; maintains accounts payable records and files; maintains vendor files; adds new vendors; communicates with vendors on invoices and payments; obtains W-9's, prints checks. Daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly duties. Assists staff with budget tracking, encumbrances, and data. Must be able to work independently.
