Fire Department

The Hertford Fire Department is comprised of volunteers who respond to calls from the fire station located at 328 W. Grubb Street. The Department responds to fire calls and motor vehicle accidents requiring extrication. Our service area includes the Town and immediate areas around the Town. The Department also responds as mutual aid to the other departments within the County. Approximately 30 Volunteer Firemen support the Department. The Department also conducts fire prevention programs.

• House Numbers: The Planning Department coordinates the assignment of house numbers, which are
  required by ordinance. Proper display of your house number will aid emergency departments in quickly reaching your location.
